I have a feeling that I don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables. Especially in winter. I don’t like cold salads so much and I have become lazy in buying enough vitamins. When I was sick though the other week, I suddenly had the urge to eat much more fresh food with vitamins. I did not only end up buying quite a lot of fruits and vegetables, but also to make smoothies at home. There was a time when I made smoothies much more often and I think it is still one of the few ways to make sure that I take in enough vitamins. I even have a great blender which otherwise just stands around totally bored. So I experimented a little and came up with these three smoothies:
1. Mango Spinach Smoothie
1 mango
1 cup of spinach
1 cup vanilla soy milk
red pepper flakes
2. Mango Vegetable Smoothie
1/2 mango
1 stalk of celery
1 hand full of spinach
6 mini carrots
1 tsp. turmeric
1 pinch black pepper
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 cup vanilla soy milk
3. Kiwi Smoothie
2 kiwis
2 stalks of celery
1/2 apple
1 tbsp. honey
2/3 cup vanilla soy milk
