I didn’t expect to take a break of two months from blogging at all. Unfortunately, the stress of the end of the school year paired with us buying an apartment turned out to be a bad mix for most other things. Moreover, the purchase was delayed. A lot. We were supposed to move in by mid-June. Turned out we moved in this Wednesday. The waiting was worth it though – the apartment we bought is absolutely amazing. I love the high ceilings (ca. 4 m), the size, the light thanks to the giant windows facing south, and basically all of it. I only wish we could have moved in earlier so that my summer break didn’t mainly consist of stress so far. We now live in Turtle Bay, about half a block from the U.N. building. So not very far from where we stayed before.
The kittens have also easily adjusted to the new home and race around as if they never lived anywhere else. They particularly like the windows with their wide sills and the little second floor area. Another plus for them are all the boxes that are still lying around. It will probably take us a while to put everything away. Actually, we first have to order some more furniture. But we have plenty of time since we don’t plan to move again any time soon.

|Been happy| when everything this week was done
|Laughed| mostly about the kittens doing cute things – also, it’s their first birthday today
|Desired| some miracle that just empties all the boxes and puts the things where they should go to, also a few beautiful things:
