Week in review: 14 – 20 November 2022

That was a very pleasant week. Even though it got pretty cold, the sun was out most of the time. So we actually spent quite a bit of time outside: once around noon for usually a stroller walk, and then again at 5 p.m. when we go to the playground. There we have started to meet the same people and kids, which is fun.

Else, my horrible streak of cancelled concerts was finally broken. I tried to go to three concerts between August 2021 and this September – and all of them were cancelled. But in this case the fourth time was the charm. I saw Kaan Tangöze, the singer of famous Turkish rock band Duman, in a small club on Saturday. He sang for over two hours and the whole concert reminded me of my years in Istanbul. Also, I met one of my former students who now lives in Brooklyn. It is such a small world!
