As I was away for five days of last week, I had to plan my outfits a little in advance – which did not prevent me from packing my big suitcase. Although I still think it was more pleasant to have enough space and just put really everything, including my DSLR camera and an external hard disk drive, into that suitcase. Amtrak also doesn’t have a size limit, another great reason for me to choose the train over a plane when possible.
Monday: It was the first day of the second term – and thus started with a general conference after school. I got home just before 7 p.m. I wore: H&M sweater (old, similar*), Primark jeans, shoes (old), & Other Stories shell earrings (old, similar*).
Tuesday: My first Tuesday with the new timetable, which is just amazing. I left home after 9 a.m. and was home just before 2 p.m. But I also had many tasks to do like packing my suitcase for the next day. I wore: K-Mart shirt, Mavi jeans, shoes (old), rose earrings (old).
Wednesday: I first taught six periods, then took the train to Washington D.C. My colleague and I finally arrived at the hotel at about 9 p.m. I wore: Victoria Secret sweater, Rag&Bone shirt, Primark jeans, Nautica boots, Kate Spade earrings (old, similar*).
Thursday morning: The fun part about staying in a hotel is that I don’t have to do the usual every day tasks, like making breakfast. I only had to take a shower and then walked to the amazing breakfast buffet. The first day of our professional development was great. I wore: Miya Mira blazer (old), Mango T-shirt (old), Veryj pants (similar*), Adidas sneakers*, dinosaur earrings*.
Thursday night: We all went out for dinner to a burger place. I wore: Thread Story blouse, Zara jeans (old), Nautica boots, Marc Jacobs Empire City Handbag Small (also available in turquoise*), Amazon earrings*.
Friday: On the second day of the PD we prepared a lot of actual lesson material. In the evening I was absolutely knackered. We thus had dinner at the hotel. I wore: Miya Mira blazer (old), Worthington shirt, Verij pants (similar*), Adidas sneakers*, Primark earrings (old, similar*).
Saturday: The last day of the PD. In the early afternoon we went into Washington D.C. and changed the hotel. Three friends and I stayed there for another night. We took a nice long walk and had a fun dinner at a Japanese restaurant. I wore: Montego sweater (old), Primark jeans, Nautica boots.
Sunday: After sleeping in, we visited the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History because I really want to see the dinosaurs. I took a train back at around 4 p.m. and was happy to arrive home to Canavar and my boyfriend. I wore: Victoria Secret sweater, Zara jeans (old), Nautica boots.
