It’s already Tuesday, and there is only one thing to say about last week: it was a total flop. Or to put it differently: everything that could go wrong did go wrong. No matter if it was the slice of bread falling with its buttered side first on my pants, or the mug I accidentally threw to the floor so that it shattered. There was something going wrong every single day. In between things looked better, like when I was shown this amazing, affordable one bedroom apartment in Boston’s nicest district, which I really wanted to move into, and that according to the estate agent was going to be mine – only to learn half a day later that they had rented it to somebody else. Needless to say that I was absolutely devastated. I shed a good few tears last week.
My dad likes to say that life waves, ups and downs take turns. And I think he is right. Last week was my absolute down whereas this week seems to be much better. Maybe that is also because there is a snowstorm in Boston today so that all schools were closed and we got to stay at home. I mean it is not great to have that much snow in mid March, but since I sit inside it’s not so bad.
