So this week happened. And I didn’t really participate. On Tuesday after work I dragged myself to urgent care and had them attest that I had yet another bad sinus infection – that was already day 8 after it had all started with an allergic reaction. I only picked up antibiotics and some other medicine on the way back home and spend almost the rest of the week in bed. By now I can think rather clearly again and I don’t feel any pressure on my sinuses anymore. Thanks to the antibiotics (side fact: I read up on it and learned that people died of sinusitis before antibiotics were discovered, i.e. I would have died about thirty years ago). If you have followed my blog over the years, you know that I suffer from infected sinuses almost every winter and that always knocks me out for about a week. Then again, at least I hardly ever get a normal cold.
The cat, of course, was delighted that I stayed at home. We cuddled so much and took so many naps that he probably assumed at one point that I had also turned into a cat. The other good thing was that I finally tried the Whole Foods delivery service. Normally when I’m sick, I run out of decent food at one point and order pizza. This time I ordered fresh fruits and vegetables and felt very good about it. I hope that I won’t become lazy and order from the supermarket all the time now, but I think it is a wonderful solution for when you’re sick.
Now I feel well enough to return to work tomorrow. And it is only another five days before winter break starts – and we are going to fly to Las Vegas and go on a road trip to some national parks. I can’t wait!

Ow, I hope you are much better now! This doesn’t sound too good – except for the snuggles, of course! Thank you for mentioning me 🙂 Yours, Izi
Ja, inzwischen geht es mir viel besser. Es dauert aber immer ein paar Tage.
