Slowly, my finger is healing and working again, i.e. typing becomes easier. After almost two weeks of hurting, it feels quite numb now. So there is more to watch out for. But besides the finger issue, life has been pretty good to me. It is only five days until fall break – and I have finally decided what to do. On Friday I am going to take the bus to New York City where I am going to meet with two of my graduates from Istanbul for the weekend. The following Monday I do something that has been on my bucket list for some time: I am taking the train from NYC to Montreal. That takes a whole day, but I heard it is totally worth it. Once I am in Montreal, I plan to spend most of the week there because it is supposed to be a great city. If it is anything like Toronto where I was in summer, I might find it hard to return to Boston. Now I only have to wait for five more days and start packing early. I thought I might travel with only a big backpack and a handbag. Let’s see how that goes …
