Week in review: 24 February – 1 March 2020

Today was one of those days when I was supposed to get many tasks done. Instead I felt lousy and did almost nothing. I mean besides drinking coffee, curling up on the sofa and reading a fantasy novel. I also took a nice long bath. It feels as if I am about to fall sick, but I haven’t fully gotten there yet. It would be horrible timing, too, because this coming week I am attending a conference with high school students from Wednesday to Saturday. Although the conference is at least in Manhattan, i.e. I don’t have to travel far.

On a positive note, we are slowly advancing our wedding plans. We will hopefully obtain our wedding license within the next few days. On Friday I finally picked up my wedding gown from Bloomingdales. All alterations are done. We should also be called to pick up our wedding rings soon. Then we tried to come up with what we want to do after the city hall ceremony itself. It looks like several of our guests need some form of walking aid so that there are not many possibilities. We have come up with high tea and later on dinner so far. Oh, and I still need shoes. Have you recently seen shiny silver sandals, made of leather, and with a heel of at least 3 inches (or 8 cm)? Please let me know!
