Week in review: 21 – 27 October 2019

As much as I love traveling, it is also great to be at home again. I think I can still feel some aftermath from going back and forth between Boston and New York City for a year before finally moving to the latter in July. Moving for the third time in four years was also exhausting. These days I don’t even mind being more of a couch potato (if only I get the chance to). There was a simple reason why we used fall break to travel to Europe: flights were less than half the price than at Christmas. And I absolutely enjoyed being in Europe and seeing my family. Only returning and immediately starting to work again took its toll on me. I got tired and cranky quite early in the day and had the munchies for sweet things. I am still knackered. The good news though is that we haven’t planned any more traveling this year, except for maybe a few day trips. My boyfriend’s family is going to come here for Thanksgiving. And I’ll spend my Christmas vacation at home (the cat doesn’t know yet, but he’ll be soooo happy). I already can’t wait, haha.

Now that I have finally overcome my jet lag, I plan on sorting and editing my photos and showing more of our previous vacation to you. Also, Halloween is coming up. I took a long walk today and looked at Halloween decorations on the Upper East Side. My new life goal might be to one day live in a townhouse there and have such great Halloween decorations that people stop and take pictures. I’ll try and post photos from today’s walk, too. But for now good night!
