I seem to be socially active in waves. Last week I met friends all the time, this week I have been more of a homebody. We are preparing for Thanksgiving and there have been quite a few things to do. This coming week will be a little more stressful. I went grocery shopping on Friday and, together with my boyfriend, again on Saturday. Now we should have everything except for corn cobs. Who would have thought that not every supermarket sells them right now?!
We have also made whole lists with what we need for what dishes and when to prepare them. I already prepared the sweet and sour sweet potatoes today, while my boyfriend was tightening the legs to our dining table. It is only another four days (actually minus a few hours) before his family arrives and our Thanksgiving meal should be ready. I think this is also why I had to live my introvert side more this week – next will be full of visits and talking. Which I am much looking forward to. Unless something goes wrong with the turkey or I forget about those corn cobs in which case I might just hide in my closet. Do you celebrate Thanksgiving?
