Sometimes it is way too easy to spoof me: yesterday my friend said we’d take the car and go to a beautiful part of New England where there are mountains, woods, lakes. And it was absolutely stunning at Mount Monadnock. Only: I always tell people that I hate hiking. And I do. I hate those ugly hiking boots, I hate backpacks, I hate climbing rocks at a faster speed, etc. But I love walking, even long distances. So while I pretended we were walking through the forest over rocks and rivers, my friend laughed because we were obviously hiking. Whatever it was, it wasn’t bad: I wore my normal sports clothes and shoes, and carried my handbag. Once I slipped while crossing a stream, and bathed my right foot. Else, I fed quite many mosquitos. It is always nice to leave the city, and be in a very quiet place, just listening to the birds, and breathing in the spicy forest air. Walking through nature is really quite nice – as long as I call it walking, and don’t have to follow any rules concerning clothes and stuff.

I love these big hiking boots, because they make me feel so much more athletic and untiring than I actually am 😉
Wow, ich mag diese Wandersachen auch nicht, geschweige denn Wandern 😉
Happy belated birthday!! Was hast Du Dir alles gewünscht (und bekommen?)? Bin immer so neugierig 😉
Ist es bei Euch schon so heiß oder sind das Deine Joggingklamotten?

This outfit for walking in the montains gave the mosquitos a lot of choices. 😉
