Travel: Photo Diary of My Foliage Road Trip in Vermont

Hi from Vermont!

The last three days were already wonderful – or should I say colorful since Vermont is full of fall foliage. While I now stay at an inn in Killington, in the middle of the small state, I drive around every day to visit the many sights. That includes plenty of farms with fresh cheese, apple cider, apple cider donuts and maple syrup, of course. Although there were quite a few rain showers over the last two days, I mostly got lucky and had enough dry time to walk around fields and little towns. And these days I need regular breaks anyways because after less than two hours of walking my back starts to hurt like crazy. To balance it, the baby also kicks in the front every now and then like crazy. I definitely cannot do as much sightseeing as I used to.

At least I also quite enjoy the driving around in my car – while traffic in New York State is always hectic and stressful, here everybody seems fine with a slower pace. So far I have seen a bit of everything here in Vermont: Bennington and Wilmington in the South, Woodstock in the middle, Stowe and Montpelier in the North. I have got another 2.5 days before I return home – and I can’t wait to take several hundred more photos. I mightily enjoy using my camera as well as its different lenses constantly because pretty much every little corner here is overly cute and photogenic. Over the next few weeks I will share more about my little road trip with you.

Here are a few photos from my vacation so far:
