I might be a little late with finally creating my Christmas 2021 wish list – but better late than never. Santa still has 3 weeks to figure out what to give to me. This year my wishes mostly revolve around shoes, books and a few other fancy lifestyle items.
Besides these, I also would love a membership to the MET museum. The MET is my favorite museum and, with a membership, I could visit it as often as possible. I can totally see myself strolling around the museum with the baby. Or just sitting in the ancient world wing (my favorite) and enjoy looking at the beautiful old statues.

Books
I only realized last weekend that I still do not own the “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” book. How disappointing for the giant Grinch fan I am. I pretty please want this.
Rich and I are huge fans of the Great British Baking show. This fall we patiently waited for each new episode – and then watched it immediately every Friday morning, while having breakfast in bed. The show always makes me want to try new baking recipes and to challenge myself more. Thus, a new cookbook would be perfect. Like the Great British Baking Show: The Big Book of Amazing Cakes or the Great British Baking Show: A Bake for All Seasons. Or both (for extra much baking in 2022).
Shoes
The golden Dorothea shoes from Lulu’s are so pretty and comfortable – I know because I have them in two other colors (and yes, they are an amazing, cheap dupe to the Loeffler Randall Penny knot mules) I would love to have them in gold though because the color is so versatile. I take size 8, please 😉
Talking of shoes, I also like the looks of the Dr. Martens Leonore Chelsea boots. They would be the perfect winter shoe, esp. since I have issues bending down to tie shoes these days. No, seriously, I would love to have them for the long NYC winters because they look warm and convenient, without being ugly.
Yeah, shoes … I don’t think I can ever have enough sparkling shoes, but the Mairah Jeweled d’Orsay stiletto pumps might satisfy that hunger for a short while. They are just so beautiful and sparkly and I would totally wear them – while pushing the baby in the stroller next year because we live in t h e City after all.
Beauty Products
The Korres Santorini Grape Velvet Skin Drink has been on my wish list ever since it came out this year. I think its resveratrol would be great for my skin, esp. since I haven’t been allowed to use retinol for most of the year.
I once had a sample of Viktor&Rolf’s Flowerbomb Midnight perfume and loved it. I also have been really good and haven’t bought any perfume this year, so I think I might deserve this.
Everything Else
Can you believe that I am German and don’t yet have a raclette grill? I know, terrible. What will eat on all the future New Year’s Eves that we will spend at home with our daughter? I really think it is high time for my own raclette grill.
This year I rediscovered my passion for taking photos with my DSLR camera, which had me think that I would love another lens to try out even more. The Canon 24mm lens would be perfect for the kind of landscape/city photography I love.
Last but not least, I love Marc Jacobs handbags and own a few. I find the new style very appealing and already saw a few women outside with the tote bags. So so pretty. Plus I know that they are always of good quality and last years. I just can’t even decide between the Marc Jacobs mini Tote Bag in orchard haze and the large crinkle leather Tote Bag.
