Beauty inventory: Shampoos & conditioners

I think I haven’t yet told you that I’ve found a great hairdresser here in Cambridge. In my opinion finding one resembles having three numbers in the lottery (maybe even four), esp. since prices here are at least three times as high as to what I paid in Istanbul. This hair salon was recommended to me by a friend (it’s called Asa, if you ever happen to need a hairdresser in the Boston area). I’ve been there twice so far, and the last time, in August, I was very brave and kind of surprised myself when I asked them to color my hair red – they used a semi-permanent color for a nice dark plum shade. It’s still slightly visible, and I can’t wait for them to color my hair again soon. It is the first time I have ever had red hair, which by the way suits me a lot better than the blonde I tried about eight years ago. Therefore I listened to my hairdresser and bought specific products for red hair, and thus my little shampoo and co. collection grew …

Right now I own these shampoos and conditioners:

Garnier Fructis Pure Clean: I like this one very much because it easily and thoroughly cleans my hair from any residues. Also my hair sometimes tends to be oily and this shampoo really helps.

John Frieda Radiant Red Shampoo: I bought it when I got my plum hair color, and I don’t know if it is due to this product or the original color was great, but my hair still looks reddish after more than two months. I like to believe that it is at least in parts due to the shampoo.

Korres Hair Loss Women Shampoo: I bought the two bottles in Greece in summer, and haven’t even opened them once. They will have to wait until I have used up at least one other shampoo.

Sebamed Anti-Hairloss Shampoo: This has been my favorite for several years. I am not sure if you can buy it anywhere outside of Turkey – definitely not in Germany because I checked, i.e. had a pharmacist even call the company. It is very gentle, and I believe that it strengthens my hair.

Gliss Kur Million Gloss: I rarely use this mask, but it makes my hair look glossy and moisturized. Only it also takes away its volume and unfortunately my rather thin hair then looks pretty sad.

Michael O’Rourke Fix It Up Conditioner: I know I used it several times, on towel dry hair. I just can’t get around to use a conditioner outside the shower.

Charles Worthington Frizz Free Conditioner: I had totally forgotten about this one, but remember that it was nice. As it is a travel size, I’ll try to use it up the next time I go on vacation.

John Frieda Radiant Red Conditioner: Again, I recently bought this to treasure my new hair color, and it seems to do the job.

OGX Argan Oil of Marocco Conditioner: I bought it and put it away. End of story so far.

Korres Almond and Linseed Conditioner: I bought it in summer because I had it before and loved it.

I am not sure how to proceed here: on the one hand I want to use only appropriate hair care products for my red hair; on the other hand I also want to use all my other shampoos and conditioners. Maybe I should alternate. I definitely don’t need any more hair care products though, that’s for sure.
