So it is October. I have finally put my plan into action and have gone on a road trip to Vermont. It took me a long time to really sit down and just book my overnight stays. But then I left yesterday and I am glad I have done so. It is always good to get out and do something totally different. This is my first short vacation where we don’t visit family since summer 2019. It might also be my last vacation without our baby for a while.
Right now is peak foliage, the reason why I wanted to visit Vermont in the first place. It does come in handy that I don’t have anything better to do and can travel when I want to. Now I hope to enjoy fall in Vermont until Thursday. Sadly, Rich couldn’t come because someone has to work. Maybe I get him a giant bottle of maple syrup. Or better: a barrel.
