Ich erinnere mich noch an meinen ersten Essie-Lack: a-list. Es war 2012 im Sommer und ich im TK Maxx in Mannheim. Mit diesem ersten Essie stellte ich fest, dass die Lacke schnell trocknen und auf meinen Nägeln ewig halten – locker mal eine Woche mit sehr wenig bis gar keiner Tipwear. Seitdem ist meine Sammlung enorm gewachsen und ich warte immer noch auf den Tag, an dem ich mal ein ganzes Fläschchen verbraucht haben werde.

Obwohl ich in den letzten zwei Jahren viel weniger neue Nagellacke kaufe, ist es trotzdem nicht so, dass ich an den Regalen einfach vorbeigehen kann. Immer wieder hüpft ein Fläschchen in den Einkaufskorb und wird von mir stolz nach Hause getragen. Manchmal auch mehr als eins. Letztens habe ich nämlich im Drogeriemarkt die Essie Revival Collection gesehen und mich schwer in vier der sechs Farben verliebt. Außerdem sahen die Deckel mit den goldenen Rauten so hübsch aus. Also durften tatsächlich alle vier Farben bei mir einziehen – und wie bei fast jedem Essie-Lack in meiner Sammlung habe ich ihren Kauf nicht bereut.

Using this first Essie I quickly learned that these nail polishes dry fast and last on my nails for days – I usually don’t have any or hardly any tipwear after a week. Since then my collection has grown a lot, and I still wait for the day when I will have used up a whole bottle.

Even though I haven’t bought as many new nail polishes in the last two years, it is not like I could just pass by the shelves. Every now and again I end up buying a new bottle, and carry it home proudly. Sometimes I buy more than just one. The other week I saw the Essie Revival Collection in a drugstore, and immediately fell in love with four of the colors. Besides, the caps, having golden diamonds on them, looked really pretty. And so all four colors moved in with me – and I haven’t regretted buying them as I hardly ever do with Essie polishes.

Ich habe alle Lacke bereits getragen. Sie sind schnell getrocknet und haben bei mir rund sieben Tage auf den Nägeln gehalten. Dann habe ich sie ablackiert, nicht weil sie so furchtbar aussahen, sondern weil ich gerne die Farbe wechsele. Ich finde alle vier Farben sehr hübsch – sie reichen von auffällig über klassisch bis zu dezent. Ach ja, und nun habe ich noch mehr Nagellacke, die ich wohl niemals in meinem Leben aufbrauchen kann.

I have used all polishes already at least once. They dried quick, and lasted about seven days on my nails. I then removed them, not because they looked terrible, but because I like to change colors. I find all four colors very beautiful – they range from flashy over classic to subtle. Well, and now I have even more nail polishes, which I will probably never be able to use up in my life.
