Fall 2015 playlist

I listen to music almost all the time, no matter if I am in the shower, work at the computer or walk home. That has always been the case by the way. I learned most effectively for exams etc. when music is played. Admittedly, I can influence my mood with music. I often listen to jogging music when I walk home from work because I then walk faster and feel immediately more energetic and better. I can also get myself down because I love to pay attention to lyrcis – that  is something I have always done, too. I still remember when my friend and I used our scarce knowledge of English in the mid 1990s in order to translate lyrics into German. At the time I feel pretty balanced which my current playlist also reflects:

Anna Naklab feat.

I liked the original by Reamon a lot, but also like this version. Anyway, we are all supergirls!

The Weeknd: “Can’t feel my face”.

The Weeknd, a Canadian rapper, is very popular in the US right now. His songs are earworms.

Selena Gomez: “Good for you”.

This also is a song that gets stuck in my head all the time.

SDP feat.

I like Adel Tawil’s voice very much. That is reason enough to also often listen to this song.

The Weeknd: “The Hills”.

See above, just another of this rapper’s catchy songs.

Official theme song of “Etiquette for mistresses”: “You don’t owe me”.

I spontaneously watched this Philippine movie in the cinema the other week, and really liked it. You all know the theme song, but this version is a really nice one.

When I still studied in Rostock (in northern Germany), their song “Nordish by nature” was always played in the student clubs, and everybody got their groove on. Fettes Brot are really always cool.

Charlie Puth feat. Meghan Trainor: “Marvin Gaye”. Definitiv cool und eingängig.

Definitely cool and catchy.

I first heard this song last weekend because I listen a lot to the northern German radio station n-joy via the internet. Mind you, I am not a fan of traveling with “light luggage”, not even when I move to another continent …

Adele: “Hello”. Wieder ein so schönes Lied von Adele. Ich finde es unglaublich, wie sehr sich so viele von uns mit ihren Songs identifizieren können: “Hello from the other side […] There’s such a difference between us and a million miles”.

Another great Adele song. I find it incredible how many of us identify with her songs: “Hello from the other side […] There’s such a difference between us and a million miles”.
