Outfit: Blouse meets shorts

I left the city yesterday for the first time after having been here for two and half weeks. I took the train a little north to the cute litte holiday town of Rockport at the sea. It reminded me very much of Warnemünde and Ahrenshoop on the peninsula of Darß (both German towns at the Baltic Sea) because there are cute shops and little galeries everywhere. And the sea and boats everyhwere. And a lot of food of course. I am deep in love with Roy Moore’s lobsters and Helmut Strudel’s apple strudel. Tomorrow I show you pictures of Rockport itself, but today I show you my perfect summer day trip outfit.

The weather forecast had announced another hot summer day so I chose my jeans shorts. I like wearing them together with my white blouse that has long sleeves. According to the situation I can either roll them up or leave them long, e.g. on the cold train thanks to air conditioning. Thus I at least didn’t have to take a cardigan along since my handbag and my camera bag were full and heavy enough. This blouse also protects my shoulders from sunburn. I am pretty good this year with protecting myself. Finally, you see my great Mango shoes my friend hunted down and then gave them as a present to me. They are really comfortable. The outfit was great in order to walk around Rockport all afternoon and evening long, not to sunburn, and still look stylish. And yes, here in New England I stand out with an outfit like this because most just wear T-shirts, shorts and flip-flops.
