Schon ist der April fast rum und damit das erste Drittel des Jahres. Anfang Januar dachte ich noch, die Tage würden nie vergehen. Aber natürlich tun sie das. Nicht immer gleich schnell und auf keinen Fall gleich schön. Aber es geht immer weiter. Richtung Schuljahresende, Richtung Sommer, Richtung Umzug … Ich plane meine letzten Reisen durch die Türkei, weshalb mein Lonely Planet weiter mein treuer Begleiter ist. Mit seiner Hilfe bin ich über Ostern durch Kappadokien [hier] gereist, wo ich mir auch die süße Strickkatze als Souvenir gekauft habe. Die und viele andere Stofftiere werden dort vor Ort von den Frauen angefertigt, was mir mehr zusagt als beispielsweise in China angefertigte Magnete.

Auch ziemlich neu ist das Lash Growth Serum von Gosh, das einfach unschlagbar ist, v.a. für den Preis von umgerechnet etwa 10 € – ich hatte noch nie so schöne, lange Wimpern – und meine Augenbrauen rettet es auch gerade. Außerdem habe ich mir den Selbstbräuner von Solait zugelegt, weil das Wetter zu dermaßen mies war, dass ich wenigstens künstlich an meiner Bräune arbeiten will. Das Gel funktioniert einwandfrei für Gesicht und Körper. Es war übrigens der einzige Selbstbräuner, den ich finden konnte. Es ist kein Produkt, das eine Türkin mit ihrem tollen dunklen Teint braucht (ja, es spricht der pure Neid aus mir).

Das T-Shirt habe ich selbstverständlich in Boston gekauft und trage es sehr gerne. Kreiert wurde es von Schülern, die beim Projekt Artists for Humanity [afhboston.org] arbeiten. Die Ohrringe sind alle neu und aus einem der vielen Billigschmuckshops in meinem Stadtteil. Im Moment habe ich total Lust, jeden Tag andere und auffällige Ohrringe zu tragen. Auch ist gerade meine große Sneakers-Zeit, hauptsache rosa. Früher war ich ein absolutes Adidas-Mädchen, gerade liegt irgendwie Nike vorn. Aber sowohl die Nike Air als auch die Priority Mid sind mega bequem und zaubern mir beim Aprilwetter relativ gute Laune. Für den Mai wünsche ich mir trotzdem endlich mehr als zehn Grad.

Außerdem habe ich in diesem April Snapchat entdeckt und bin begeistert. Okay, eigentlich haben es mir meine Schüler schon vor einem Jahr erklärt, aber da hat außer türkischen Teenagern irgendwie noch niemand die App benutzt. Ich poste zwar nicht täglich, schaue mir aber sehr gerne die Videos anderer Blogger an. Von mir gibt es häufig Kater-Videos, aber ich übe mich auch in anderen Themen. Mein Nickname ist (natürlich) janavar.

April is nearly over and thus the first third of this year. At the beginning of January I was thinking those days would never go by. But of course they do. Not always at the same pace and also there are better and worse days. But it always goes on. Towards the end of the school year, towards summer, towards moving … I’m planning my last trips within Turkey which is why my Lonely Planet is a constant companion. With its help I traveled Cappadocia at Easter [here]. There I also bought the cute knitted cat as a souvenir. This one and many other stuffed animals are made in that region by local women, something I really prefer to magnets produced in China for instance.

My Gosh Lash Growth Serum is also quite new. It cannot be beaten, esp. since it only costs about €10. I never had such beautiful, long lashes before, and now it’s even saving my eyebrows. Besides, I bought the Solait self tanning lotion because the weather is so bad that I want to work on my tan at least artificially. The gel works without problems both for the face and body. It was the only self tanning lotion I was able to find by the way. It’s not really a product a Turkish woman needs for her great dark teint (yes, I’m green with envy).

I bought the t-shirt in Boston of course and wear it often. It was designed by teenagers who work for the project Artists for Humanity [afhboston.org]. All these earrings are new, I found them in one of the cheap jewelry stores just around the corner. At the moment I totally feel like wearing a different pair of noticeable earrings every day. Also it is sneakers – pink ones mainly – time for me. Formerly, I was an Adidas only kind of girl, but right now I prefer Nike. The Nike Air as well as the Priority Mid are very comfy and lift my mood a bit despite all this April weather. For May I’m still hoping for more than 10°C.

Besides, in April I discovered Snapchat and love it. Actually my students explained it to me already a year ago, but then except for Turkish teenagers nobody seemed to use that app. I don’t post on a daily basis, but like to watch other bloggers’ videos. So far I’ve mostly posted Canavar videos, but also try to broaden the topics. My nick name is (of course) janavar.
