Week in review: 31 August – 6 September 2020

We are back home from a wonderful weekend in Upstate New York. While we wanted to leave the City, we didn’t want to spend much time in the car. So we booked a hotel in Peekskill which is only a half hour drive away from White Plains where I always park my car in a garage. That gave us plenty of time to explore the Blue Mountain Park and the quaint town of Peekskill yesterday. Today we visited Bear Mountain State Park, went apple picking and stopped to walk through the cutest little town: Sugar Loaf.

We returned with a nice new tan and a big bag of sweet apples. One of the best part of the weekend though is that it is a long one. Tomorrow is Labor Day. So we have another day at home to relax, but also to get a few things done. Also, I am really eager to make some apple cake.
