Week in review: 28 December 2020 – 3 January 2021

Three days into the new year and I feel rather tired. That is not 2021’s fault though, but more Arti’s. Our kittens have recently both gone through their first heat. While Lotti didn’t cause any problems, Arti decided that it was time to mark a few pieces of furniture in our apartment. Her favorite: the bed. Three times. While we are not angry at her because the kitten just follows her instincts, it still annoying when we have to do laundry every day. Besides, she managed to once “hit” Rich in the middle of the night. So I didn’t only lose sleep that one night when we had to get up to change the bedding. But I also was woken up several nights afterwards when Rich in anticipation woke up with a start several times whenever a kitten just touched him. Unfortunately, I am a rather grumpy person when I don’t get enough of my high quality beauty sleep. It will take me a few more days to catch up. Oh, and tomorrow I’ll immediately call the vet to make a spaying appointment for both kitties. It is time …

|Thought| I had plenty of paper and books lying around on the floor forever – after Arti peed on two pieces of furniture, it took me less than 10 minutes to finally put them away.
