My exuberance has continued this week. On Monday I was incredibly lucky and managed to get my license plates, the E-Zpass for driving on interstates, and my Cambridge parking permit within three and a half hours. In between I picked up my car and had it undergo the state inspection. Since I have been driving around. A lot. Because it is just so much fun. I realized that it now takes me only ten minutes to get to work in the morning – in contrast to forty minutes by public transport. Let’s say I’ve never been that early at work – on consecutive days. This weekend I went on two day trips because, obviously, I need to check if everything in my car works fine (before the warranty of 30 days expires). So far it does *knocking on wood*.
Also, it was my birthday this week, which I am of two minds about. On the one hand, it is great because I receive presents, and it is actually nice to celebrate this past year to be over. On the other hand, I couldn’t party yet because there was much work. And I’ve noticed that people totally rely on social networks. Some time ago I deleted my birthday from Facebook (how else could I start fiddling my real age?!) – and even several of my best friends have thus forgotten about it. This made me a little sad. But no matter what, I simply hope that this new year of my life will be good (better than the last one in any case, please).

|Laughed| Canavar knows exactly where his treats are. So he has started to bring me the little bag and meow until I give him some.
