Week in review: 14 – 20 September 2020

Cold cold cold. We have had three quite cold days for mid-September. The temperature during the last few nights was down to 8 or 9 °C. And during the days the maximum has been 17 °C – if you were lucky to stand in a sunny spot where the wind couldn’t reach you. Today I went outside with a fleece sweater and a coat, but I still ended up freezing. For some reasons my hands and feet always immediately turn to ice when it cools down in fall.

On the plus side, fall is great because pumpkin beer and apple cider donuts are finally back. The farmers at Union Square Market sell plenty of great produce like squash and plums. And after all there suddenly don’t seem to be any wasps anymore. It probably is too cold for them.

I am still hoping for a few warmer days, esp. since the idea at school is to leave all doors and windows open at all times – and I am not sure I can turn up there in a ski suit. I also don’t own one. Yet.

  1. Hallo Jana

Our night time temp dropped down to 2.8 C two nights ago. brrr.
Daytime temps hover around the 15 -17 C mark. But summer will be back next week. Well then. 🙂

Wir haben im März einen Kater adoptiert. Einen Tag später hat das Tierheim zugemacht. The Rona.
Ich wünsche Euch dass es klappt und viel Freude mit den Katzen.

    Gruß aus Wisconsin. Daniela

  2. Haha, der Teil “I am not sure I can turn up there in a ski suit. I also don’t own one. Yet.” ließ mich grinsen. Würd mir genauso gehen.
