Immer wieder sonntags #106

Definitiv.

It is always towards the end of the year that I start thinking about where I stand and where I still want to go to in life. This is when I always realize that in general everything works well, but that I also get distracted easily from my way. I don’t have an endless amount of (free) time and must learn how to use it in a better way. That doesn’t mean that I don’t want to sit in a cafe for two hours and read something or watch people, but that I want to do exactly that. Therefore I have to approach other activities more effectively. Cleaning for instance.

I must do unpleasant tasks at once and not put them off for as long as possible. For example I have complained for weeks that my smartphone, a ten months old Galaxy S5, freezes all the time. Today I finally looked up the T-Mobile website and found out that I have to reset it. If that doesn’t work, they are going to help me (and maybe give me a new phone) in their shop.

I notice that I have to define my goals and the way there better. If I want to take better photos, I must go out and take more photos, instead of buying a coloring book for adults. If I want to write better texts, it doesn’t help when I lie lazily in bed and play Simcity. If I want to work more in the field of German as a Foreign Language, I must prepare more purposefully instead of discussing the concept of inclusion in general. Etc. Many things come to my mind when I think about what I want to improve or rather do. And I know I can tackle them so much better than I do right now. So this is my first resolution for the next months. And tonight I reset my smartphone. Definitely.
